Household Tip of the Day 9/9

Are you a coupon clipper like me? I love finding ways to save some $ on my grocery bill. And one of the easiest ways I have found so far is my Kroger Plus card. I happened to visit the Kroger website one day to view the weekly ad online so I would know what kind of things were on special. When I visited, something jumped out at me on the main screen… did you know you can add coupons to your Kroger Plus card? Yup.. sure can! You just sign into the Kroger website, mark what coupons you want added and it will put them on your card. Then when you checkout, the coupons will automatically be applied to your total! No more forgetting to hand the coupons to the cashier for me!

Well, now I found something extra great! I was browsing the net and I found an online coupon site in which you can add national coupons to your Kroger card too!  Shortcuts.com allows you to ‘clip’ the coupons you want and add them to many different shopping cards including Kroger.

Now granted, not ALL of the coupons are available in ‘electronic coupon’ form.  I do still have to print coupons.. but this really cuts down on the amount I have to print and the time it takes for the cashier to scan them all in at the end of the order.  And we all know what a pain that can be, right?  Seems half the time they have to scan the coupon multiple times because it does not take it, etc.  And what if your printer messed up the barcode?! UGH.  I sure hope more companies allow the electronic coupons soon!

Anywho.. I was excited to stumble on this little tidbit of information and thought I would pass it on to you all :) .
